Welcome! This is my crochet site. It's mostly for my own reference, but if others find it interesting and useful that's good too. ~Snow

Heated Cat Bed

I made this for Sylvani. He loved to be warm, so I put a heating pad inside and ran it on low for him. This was to keep him from spending the whole day in my lap.

  • It’s all acrylic yarn, and DC’s. The center is black acrylic and fun-fur. Regular circular increasing until it was big enough.

  • Make a second one, no fun-fur.

  • Go back to the first one, and attach grey acrylic yarn. No increase in width, just add rows until it’s 8-10 inches tall.

  • Match up the end of the grey back to the beginning of it. Put the second circle in place and start stitching all of it together. Stop while there is enough of an opening to get a heating pad between the two circles. Switch to only stitching the grey edges to the top.

  • Stuffed with poly fill at the end or as you go. Up to you.

  • Once that’s done, stitch the ends of the tube together

  • Now just add a heating pad. I had an older one that was a little weaker so that I didn’t have to worry about it being too hot for the kitty to lie on it all day. If you don’t have that there are ones that auto shut off. It’s up to you to decide how to deal with it.

Octopus Cat Toy

This was my first octopus cat toy. Simple. Made with kitchen cotton.
