First Ponytail Hat

I was asked if I could make a hat like this popular one that was making the rounds online. Here’s the popular ponytail/messy-bun hat photo. Sure, I can make something like that. I’m not at all likely to make exactly that, because I’ve always got to make things my own. But taking inspiration from that, I made this hat:

Pattern Info:

Yarn: Bulky, lumpy, acrylic yarn – navy blue
Hook: J/6.00 mm

Ridged Band:
7 blsc per row
56 rows/~22″
sl st first and last rows together

Hat Body:
R1: Turn and work 1 sc in the edge of all rows in the ridged band you just made.
R2: [dc, ch 1] around
R3: [ch 1, dc] around
R4: [dc, ch 1] around
R5: [ch 1, dc] around
R6: [dc, ch 1] around
R7: [dc2tog, ch 1] around
R8: [dc2tog, ch 1] around
